More snow has fallen over the resorts. They are bringing the opening day closer. This is good news I think. For El Colorado and Farellones, who are celebrating 60 years operating lifts this time around, an earlier opening puts smiles on peoples faces. Not only that but Valle Nevado is celebrating 20 years of operations. Let the celebration begin. Well next week I guess…let it snow.

After a decent storm system over the greater Santiago area left about 40cms of new snow in the resorts. The powers that be are looking at June 13th for their opening day this year. With the improved snowmaking at the areas the skiing and snowboarding ought to be pretty good early season in Chile. I’ll be back in country June 10th and will get some fresh photos of the conditions up as soon as… We do still have some spaces available so crack the piggy bank and come ride the Andes with 3 Valleys Chile…Here’s a look to the mountains and the latest snowfall.
